We hope to build our portfolio finance community over the coming year, so that we can all share our experiences, identify common challenges and spend some time together.

To this end we plan to hold a series of sessions for our portfolio finance teams during 2020, under the theme ‘Financial Foundations’ where we will think about and discuss the financial resources that companies need to be able to scale rapidly whilst continuing to provide insightful information to management, current and future investors and potential acquirers. In particular we think it will be useful to focus on:

• Fast, flexible, KPI (including SaaS metrics) focussed reporting that informs and challenges management and investors.
• Up to date, accurate and multi-case forecasting enabling to tell stories about your business’ future.
• Keeping track of your cap table, who owns it and how much is everyone’s share worth now and in the future.

As part of these sessions we will be introducing our partners and preferred providers for accounting, forecasting and cap table software. This is an opportunity for you to put them through the wringer on their product and services and to find out how to take advantage of Notion’s partnership with them if they are the right solution for you.
