Welcoming Yvonne Agyei
I'm thrilled to be joining Notion Capital as a People & Culture expert to help advise and grow Europe's leading B2B SaaS startups. I've been in touch with Notion since 2019 via my role as Chief People Officer at GoCardless - a mutual excitement for talent led to many collaborations over the years, including speaking at their annual founders retreat. In my role as People & Culture expert, I'm excited for the opportunity to meaningfully impact Notion's portfolio companies alongside my full time role as Chief People Officer at Pangaia.
Talent and culture are an essential element of scaling a successful SaaS business. As part of this role, I look forward to providing guidance in helping to build high-performing teams at all stages of the journey. This includes everything from landing the first 100 hires, scaling culture, and establishing vision and mission across the organisation.
A note from Michelle Cheng
I'm thrilled to be welcoming Yvonne Agyei, Chief People Officer at Pangaia, to the Notion family as our Talent and Culture expert. As an international thought leader in the People space, we're fortunate to have Yvonne as an advisor, mentor and coach to our portfolio companies. Yvonne is the definition of a 'Game Changer' herself, having scaled and led teams for almost a decade at Google, then for Booking.com and GoCardless. I'm incredibly excited to work with her on supporting our early stage founders and their companies with finding, attracting and retaining exceptional talent.
Notion has always been a proponent of the talent function as the key to achieving extraordinary outcomes. Our research on The Unicorn Trajectory and Game Changers established definitive insights on building and selecting leadership teams, and Yvonne's perspective will be invaluable in evolving our thinking in these areas. With our portfolio's hiring levels returning to pre-pandemic numbers, I am delighted to have a world class expert such as Yvonne in our corner to help them thrive.
