Flip is the employee app empowering deskless work. The app is a powerful communication tool allowing employers to share top-down information in a fast and reliable manner while enabling employees to stay in touch with each other. Flip combines top-down and bottom-up communication tools such as a personalized newsfeed, individual and group chats, with additional functionalities such as task management, surveys and many more. It can be fully integrated into the existing IT infrastructure and adapted to the corporate design. Flip is already used by numerous well-known customers from various industries such as Porsche AG, Rossmann and EDEKA, as well as fast-food giant McDonald's. The company employs around 100 people at its headquarters in Stuttgart.
Benedikt Ilg is the founder and CEO of Flip GmbH, one of the leading providers of employee apps in Europe. Until the end of 2018, Benedikt was a manager at Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG. He lacked a clear, simple and intuitive tool for internal communication that enables a seamless communication with the deskless workforce . Without further ado, he founded Flip in 2019 together with Giacomo Kenner. One elementary wish in particular shaped him: to inform and connect all employees digitally in the same way, quickly and easily.
Ann Kathrin Stärkel joined Flip as CMO at the beginning of 2020. She is responsible for all of the company’s marketing activities and leads besides the departments Investor Relations and Growth. Ann Kathrin is no stranger to the startup scene: The studied economist was previously involved in co-founding Deutsche Bahn's open innovation platform Beyond1435 to develop new business models together with tech and logistics startups. Before that, Ann Kathrin Stärkel worked at Plug and Play Germany GmbH and Daimler AG.
Georg Renz is the CFO of Flip, one of the leading providers of employee apps. He is responsible for all finance activities and scales the finance, people & culture, and data teams. With a degree in information systems, he began his career in IT consulting. Various international projects led him to the management consultants of Horváth & Partners, where he developed his expertise in financial consulting for almost a decade. In addition to managing various performance management and finance projects, Georg established a profound knowledge of the corporate world, which now serves him well in scaling Flip.
Giacomo Kenner is the Co-Founder and CPO of Flip, one of the leading providers of employee apps in Europe. Early in his career, Giacomo developed a profound sense of product design. During his studies, he was able to build the product of a startup in healthcare up to the investor pitch as the lead of a pre-incubator. Encouraged by the vision to compensate for the complexity of communication in deskless workforce with a simple product, the company foundation of Flip followed in 2019. Together with Benedikt Ilg, Giacomo now leads a 100-person team at Flip's headquarters in Stuttgart.
