My journey to Notion has taken me via the forensic chemistry lab and a masters in business to a decade working in marketing and communications for B2B organisations ranging from fledgling start-up teams to global enterprises. After five incredibly exciting and formative years heading up global marketing at BookingBug, one of Europe’s fastest growing technology businesses, I was asked; “if you could pick any job next, what would it be?” My answer – working with a community of tech start-ups with the potential to change the world. A month later, in November 2016, I joined the Notion family and haven’t looked back.
My purpose here at Notion is to nurture and facilitate the growing Notion tribe of founders, their teams, our expert and partner network and beyond. Day-to-day this means working with the portfolio and the wider Notion team to ensure the people we invest in have access to the support and resources they need to scale as quickly and efficiently as possible. I’m also responsible for overseeing the packed programme of events and content we produce for our portfolio and the wider community, creating and sharing knowledge and best practice.
There isn’t a day at Notion HQ where I don’t learn something new or have my mind blown by the sheer impressiveness of the exceptional people I’m lucky enough to work with. I feel incredibly fortunate to have had such great opportunities to learn and grow in my career to date, yet am conscious I work in what remains a very homogeneous industry. As such I’m on a mission to play my part in helping to make the enterprise tech world more accessible to people of all genders and backgrounds. More to come on this soon!
