Will Southgate

I joined Notion in November 2018 and look after all areas of finance - internal and fund accounting, forecasting, portfolio reporting, tax, valuations, banking and financial technology implementation. I am looking forward to working closely with Notion's deal team and portfolio companies.

I am interested in technology from both and investment and operational point of view, and look to use it to give insight into numbers, enabling them to tell a story and aid decision making rather than just being 'right'.

Prior to Notion, I qualified as an accountant whilst working as an auditor at KPMG and also worked at Blick Rothenberg in practice before moving into the private equity world as a fund and financial accountant at Bregal Investments. From there I moved Hg, one of the foremost midmarket technology buyout houses in Europe where I was responsible for internal finance matters, tax, portfolio company valuations and did a lot of work on system implementation and automation of reporting and processes.
